Engineering Research Beyond the Classroom

The Online Research Program at Simulation Lab provides participants an opportunity to contribute to ongoing computational engineering research while developing practical exposure to modern engineering analysis methodologies.

Work on active research initiatives focused on simulation, numerical analysis and virtual product development — entirely online.

Program Duration

Choose between short-term and long-term participation based on your academic schedule while gaining exposure to active engineering research and computational analysis methodologies.

UG · B.Tech / B.E.

Energy & Power, Automobile, Environmental, Aviation / Aeronautical / Aerospace, Marine, Mechanical (pursuing or completed)

REQUIREMENTS

Windows 10 or above

ANSYS Student Version (Mechanical / Fluent / Workbench)

Minimum 8 GB RAM

At least 2 GB free storage

A stable internet connection

What you would do as a CAE Engineer Intern

You will work on simulation-based engineering problems with industry-standard tools, guided by a structured workflow and step-by-step manuals. 01

Create or modify geometry from given design parameters

Generate and refine computational mesh for accurate simulations

Set up and run simulations with the right models and boundary conditions

Analyze flow behavior, pressure distribution, forces and thermal effects

Perform parametric studies by changing input conditions

Document observations and compare results across cases

Selection Process

Stage 1: Research Application

Complete Registration Form A and upload your resume.

No fee for Registration Form A.

Applications are reviewed within 1–2 working days.

Evaluation based on academics, technical interests, projects and extracurricular activities.

Selected candidates receive a provisional confirmation and access to Registration Form B.

Stage 2: Final Enrollment

Registration Form B is the final enrollment step.

Registration contribution: ₹3000 + taxes.

Payment must be completed within 5 working days.

Upon completion, you will be granted access to:

  • Research datasets

  • Cloud storage repository

  • Analysis prototypes

  • Installation & setup documentation

Enroll in multiple research projects simultaneously.
